Rashami Desai Cries Talking About Her Special Bond With Late Sushant Singh Rajput, 'At One Point We Were Very Close' - EXCLUSIVE
Sushant Singh Rajput who was not only a star on TV but was a name to reckon with in Bollywood as well, ended his life on June 14. The actor's death came as a shock to everyone. However, the real reason behind him commiting suicide is not known yet but a debate has begun on the lobbying culture and existence of Nepotism in the industry, which may believe, led him to take this drastic step. Recently we caught up with Rashami Desai for a video interview along with Adhvik Mahajan who is an actor, writer, director and creative resource on their upcoming short film, Tamas.

Considering Rashami was close to late Sushant Singh Rajput at one point of time we did try to speak with her on the whole matter. However, her proximity with the late actor made it difficult for Rashami to answer, as she got teary eyed. During our conversation when we asked Rashami about Sushant's untimely demise the actress said, "But is there any point talking about this, in a way. I must say Sushant was a wonderful person and at one point of time we were very close friends. Whatever happened it was very sad (Pauses) but I can't only blame people like that. I have my own vision and I don't want to talk about it. It's a very sensitive topic for me (in tears)."

However Rashami did accept that TV actors face discrimination in various fields. As Naagin 4 actress told us, "Yes we are told that you have been seen a lot on TV. Aapka exposure bahut ho gaya hai. 'Accha, TV actress hain? Ham unko designer kapde nahi denge. Ya maybe iski placement yahan is hisaab se honi chahiye.' So, definitely there is a big problem to achieve something. Coming from nowhere to achieving something and trying to chase your dreams is not easy. But that is the flavour of your life, how do you take it. And people from the media at times help so it becomes easy for us. But now I feel people will like to see talent like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Irffan Khan, K K Menon, these are the examples of actors who are known for their performances. Like in today's time Ayushman Khurana is someone whom you not only connect with but feel the happiness when he comes on screen. So, I am sure the people will relate to the characters which they play. One has to connect with the audience which is not easy."

But this feeling doesn't stop the beautiful actress from achieving bigger. Rashami reveals, "I have been exploring. I am doing Naagin 4 with one of the biggest producers in television and Bollywood. And I personally feel that when you gradually take a step even if you fall you have the capability to take it. So it's not that your graph is going up continuously and you won't be able to see the downfall. So this is a life and this is a cycle. And this is how it works."
